A woman just out of prison stabbed two shoppers in an upscale department store  before an off-duty FBI agent arrested her, authorities said. The woman's arsenal
allegedly included two butcher knives taped together to form a double-bladed
weapon. One of the women Antoinette Starks is accused of injuring in the apparently
random attacks Wednesday night was released from a hospital Thursday, while the
other was in stable condition, police said. One victim was stabbed eight times
in the back. In 2004, she received a 3 1/2-year sentence in 2004 on vandalism charges.Ref: Montgomery |
Prom Shooting Suspect Arrested In Columbus A teenager was arrested in Columbus on Wednesday in connection with a shooting at a prom last weekend. Kevin L. Dotson, 18, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals.
He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, illegal conveyance of a deadly
weapon on school grounds, possession of crack cocaine and escape.
Youngstown police detectives are also interested in questioning Dotson to determine if he has information on who was responsible for the shooting at the school, which left him and a girl wounded. - (Gman)

Shooting suspect has violent past CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting his 38-year-old live-in girlfriend in their southeast Charlotte home early Thursday morning. Police were called to the scene after Stanford Jones allegedly shot the woman, ran from his house and told a neighbor what he had done. Police Shoot Suspect In Walnut Hills  Cincinnati police say the suspect they shot early Thursday morning in Walnut Hills had raised a sawed-off shotgun toward an officer. Donta Williams, 27, was shot twice. He was last reported in stable condition and is expected to survive. Police say Williams' illegal weapon contained two live rounds. When Williams was ordered to drop the shotgun, he instead raised it toward Officer Longworth. Police say the shot suspect, Danta Williams, was wanted on three felonious

KC Rap Artist Fat Tone Shot, Killed In Las Vegas * Vegas Police Raid Home Searching For Three After Rapper Slaying A rap artist from Kansas City was gunned down and killed in Las Vegas, police said. Officials in Nevada identified the body of 24-year-old Anthony Watkins, known as Fat Tone in the world of hip hop, after he was found shot and killed early Monday. A security guard found the bodies of Watkins and Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins when he noticed a car parked with its lights on in a construction area. Authorities say Andre Dow, Tanisha Aaron and Jason Mathis are not suspects in the slayings.But they are known associates of Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins and Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins. - (White Boy)

School counselor Yamada charged with failing to report student's alleged rape  VANCOUVER -- A counselor at a Vancouver high school is defending herself against charges that she failed to report a student's alleged rape. Marlene Yamada, an eight year veteran with the Vancouver School District says the charges are false. She maintains that she did everything she could to protect the 14-year old High School student. Yamada admits she waited about a week before telling police but says she followed district policy. Man on crane in Atlanta is wanted for murder in Oldsmar, Florida Florida - A man threatening to jump off a crane in Atlanta is the same man wanted for a murder this week in Oldsmar.
Deputies have issued an arrest warrant for Carl Edward Roland. They believe he killed his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Gonzalez Tuesday night at her apartment complex.
Neighbors found her face down in the pond behind her apartment on
Tuesday night. Detectives say witnesses saw Roland and Gonzalez together just

Ten weeks short of the 60th anniversary of Tokyo's second world war surrender, diplomats were today investigating claims that two octagenarian Japanese soldiers had emerged from the mountains of the southern Philippines. According to Japanese media reports, the men were separated from their division six decades ago. Although they wanted to return home, they feared they would face a court martial for withdrawing from action.
