I was fired because I’m white: TV anchorwoman
Wendy BellA Pittsburgh anchorwoman, who was fired after comments in a Facebook post about a shooting were deemed racially insensitive, filed a lawsuit against her former employer Monday saying the television station let her go because she is white. Wendy Bell said in her federal lawsuit against WTAE-TV that the station fired her on March 30 “because of her race,” violating her civil rights. “Had Ms. Bell written the same comments about white criminal suspects or had her race not have been white, Defendant would not have fired her, much less disciplined her,” the lawsuit reads.
“Ms. Bell’s posting of concern for the African-American community stung by mass shooting was clearly and obviously not intended to be racially offensive.” Bell is seeking back pay, punitive damages and her old job.
She commented on the March 9 shooting of five black people in the poor Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg. “You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts,” Bell wrote March 21. “They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested.” In the same post, she also praised a black restaurant worker in a way some readers felt was condescending. No arrests have been made in the case.

Coroner: (White) Pelzer man killed (by black) in shooting after crash, argument
Dmarrion GilmoreTerry Lee LollisPELZER, SC - One man was taken into custody late Saturday night after crashing a car on Highway 418 and then shooting a man on an all-terrain vehicle that came to investigate the commotion, according to Greenville County deputies. Deputies said they were called to the 1700 block of Highway 418 just before 11 p.m. after a vehicle crash was reported. “Witnesses reported that the car struck a telephone pole and caught fire,” according to Sgt. Jennings Autrey. “When deputies arrived, witnesses told them that the driver of the car was able to exit safely and he approached them asking them not to contact the police. The driver was told that the police were already on the way and a verbal altercation ensued.” During the argument between the driver and the witnesses, Autrey said one of the witnesses pulled out a baseball bat and the driver of the vehicle pulled out a gun. “A third party to this incident heard the commotion and rode his ATV to the incident location to see what was going on” Autrey said. “As (the ATV rider) approached the driver of the car, he observed the firearm and started to turn away and go the opposite direction. At that point, the driver of the vehicle shot the operator of the ATV at least one time and then fled into the woods.” Autrey said several deputies and K-9 units were called to the scene and the K-9s tracked down the suspect to a nearby field. The suspect was taken into custody.Lt. Chris. Taylor said the suspect will face attempted murder and additional charges. The suspect was later identified as Dmarrion Gilmore, 19. Gilmore has been charged with attempted murder and fugitive from justice. He was denied bond. Police said he is wanted in different states on various charges and the attempted murder charge is expected to be upgraded on Monday.     Woman who felt slighted at a party orchestrated fatal shooting, police say
Phillip Niles Jr.suspectsuspectA night of partying took a deadly turn in Glendale when a 25-year-old man was fatally shot over insults directed at an 18-year-old woman he’d met hours earlier, police said. Police said they believe the woman, identified as Napa resident Dezerea Lyons, orchestrated the attack through phone calls and text messages to her two male friends who later showed up with guns. Less than 24 hours after the shooting, Glendale police arrested Lyons, as well as the suspected gunmen — Suisun City resident Laquan Parker, 24, and Stockton resident Brandon Perkins, 26 — on suspicion of murder, said Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William. On Friday night, the victim, identified as Phillip Niles Jr., was out with friends in Los Angeles, where he met Lyons and her friend. Eventually, the group moved the party to a Glendale apartment in the 1700 block of North Verdugo Road, where Lyons felt insulted by comments made by Niles, a recent Los Angeles transplant from Daytona Beach, Fla. What he said was not clear. “You don’t know me,” she told him, according to police. “You don’t know what I’m capable of.” After Lyons sent some text messages and made phone calls, the two men arrived, and she grabbed her friend and left the apartment. Niles walked them out. Outside, the two gunmen were waiting. Investigators are working to determine who pulled the trigger. With multiple gunshot wounds, Niles ran a short distance before collapsing on the front lawn of a home in the 1600 block of The Midway Street, William said. When police arrived, Niles was dead. - (Black-on-white)

Suspected (black soulless monkey) killer of (White) man walking home from wedding bragged about robbery on Facebook
Steve EsworthySteven EsworthyShamir HunterShamir HunterHarrisburg police have charged 19-year-old Shamir Hunter with robbery and homicide in the death of Steve Esworthy last weekend. Police identified Hunter after reviewing video surveillance cameras from midtown neighborhoods near the site of the killing in the 1200 block of Green Street. Esworthy was clubbed in the back of the head with a piece of wood about 1:30 a.m. Sunday as he walked home from his brother's wedding, where he had served as Best Man. A witness spotted a man rifling through Esworthy's pockets as he lay dying on the ground. Police think the robber zeroed in on Esworthy because Esworthy appeared intoxicated and an easier target. It appeared to be a crime of opportunity, said police Capt. Gabriel Olivera, so detectives searched for other crimes of opportunities in the area that night. Detectives found video images of a man matching the killer's description casing vehicles and stealing from a vehicle, Olivera said. Through tips and other evidence they eventually identified the car prowler as Hunter, who lived in uptown Harrisburg. Police charged Hunter with theft from an automobile Friday night, Olivera said, and began searching for him. They could not find him. - (Black-on-white)

But D.C. police thought the suspect known as “Q” had tampered with the GPS device. Instead of cutting off or removing the bracelet, however, which would have alerted authorities, police said Quincy Green found a new way to dupe the tracker: he took off his leg.

One (black) brother acquitted, other gets life in auction house slaying (of White woman)
Raan Henderson Romon HendersonSheila JohnsonFORT WORTH -- Months after his younger brother was found not guilty in a 2014 deadly shootout at a Fort Worth auction house, Romon Henderson has received a far different fate. On Thursday, a jury convicted Henderson, 30, of capital murder in the same case. Because prosecutors had not sought the death penalty, he was automatically sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole. Romon and Ra’an Henderson had both been accused in the robbery and fatal shooting of Sheila Johnson, a 54-year-old Air Force veteran who worked at the 4A Good Auction House, 3921 Mansfield Highway. Johnson, who sometimes slept at the business because of a string of break-ins, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds inside the auction house on April 13, 2014. The crime scene indicated she had put up a fight before her death, emptying the magazine of a .22-caliber rifle in a shootout with her killers. - (Black-on-white)

(Black) Man Who Dismembered (white) Girlfriend Requests Joint Custody Of (mixed-race) Daughter
Joshua Dow Adelle JensenMINNEAPOLIS — The family of a Minnesota mother who disappeared faces another emotional hurdle. Addie Jensen, 25, vanished last fall. Her ex-boyfriend would later admit to dismembering her in Minneapolis, but investigators never proved that Josh Dow killed her. Now, he wants joint custody of the couple’s three-year-old daughter. Jensen’s family shared their anguish, and what they’d like to see happen to their granddaughter. The Jensen’s said there were break-ups and make-ups in the couples seven years together. Just weeks before Addie’s death, she left Dow, and she and Chloe moved in with her parents. And then one November night in 2015, Addie didn’t come home. Dow’s brother had contacted police. “And told them that Addie was dead, that she was shot and that he had helped Josh move the body,” David Jensen said. “He admitted to cutting up our daughter’s body,” Cinda Jensen said, “and throwing her in the garbage,” said David Jensen. To this day Addie’s body has not been found. Dow pleaded guilty in late March to interfering with a dead body, and the sale of drugs. Dow admitted he “dismembered” Addie and he took quote, “the parts, and put them in the garbage in Minneapolis in different garbage cans.” In order to charge Dow with murder, Freeman said he would need “a body, an eye witness, DNA, some more evidence.” - (Black-on-white)

He said he used poor judgment and faulty reasoning in trying to tell the story of those affected by the Nazis. "I am writing today to apologize publicly for harm caused to anyone because of my inserting myself into the descriptions of life in Auschwitz," Hirt wrote. "I was not a prisoner there.     Voices in head, balloons in stomach: (black-on-White) Murder suspect's mental health back in spotlight in trial
Marcus SmithKathryn 'Kit' GrazioliSheriff's deputy Harry LeMonteHe insisted on a diet of coconut milk and bison meat. He spoke of voices in his head, devices under his skin and a balloon inside his stomach that could burst at any moment. In the months before a grisly killing for which he is on trial, Marcus Allen Smith's mental state unraveled to the point that his mother couldn't understand his rambling diatribes, she told an El Paso County jury Wednesday. Prosecutors rested on Monday, and the case could go to the jury by the end of the week. Without denying that Smith, 25, committed the slaying, his court-appointed attorneys argue he was too disturbed to form criminal intent the night prosecutors say he strangled an 87-year-old woman before setting her body ablaze on Nov. 23, 2011. Sharply at odds with that portrait is prosecutors' depiction of him as a sadistic killer playing "games" with everyone around him in hopes of forestalling a conviction. - (Black-on-white)
