DNA leads to rape charge Three-and-a-half years after a 17-year-old Cincinnati girl was snatched from a bus stop on her way to school, tied up in a vacant building and repeatedly raped, a suspect is in custody. Hamilton County prosecutors say a DNA sample taken from Gary Box after he was convicted of another crime and a random spotting of Box by the rape victim earlier this month in a Cincinnati park led to his arrest. A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Box, 29, of Bond Hill, on Friday on charges of rape, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. |
Dishwasher Charged in 2003 Kidnapping, Rape DNA has been used to charge a man in an April 2003 kidnapping and rape. Jackson County has charged Bryant E. Harvey, 36, with kidnapping a woman off a Kansas City street and raping her. Harvey was arrested Wednesday at an Overland Park, Kan., restaurant where he worked as a dishwasher. Back in 1990, Harvey was convicted of sodomy for a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl. - (White Boy) |
Low-down Sacramento Ministry Official Arrested for Homo Child Molestation The leader of a Sacramento ministry charged with molesting a 17-year-old male teenager who had come to his house to do yardwork. Sacramento County sheriff detectives arrested Anthony Cassells, 40, after a report was filed by the victim. Cassells has two prior convictions for child molestation and is listed as a high-risk sex offender. Cassell befriended him and offered him money to do yard maintenance. When the young man arrived at Cassell's home, the suspect reportedly locked him inside and used intimidation to force him into sex acts. - (Brewski) - (Norcal) |
Girls basketball coach charged with sexual assault of minors A girls' basketball coach at Troup Middle School, in jail Friday on charges of sexually assaulting at least two teenage girls, had been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon last August - before the school district hired him. Samuel Antonio Sutton, known as Tony, turned himself in to the Troup Police Department on Friday, about two weeks after he resigned from Troup Independent School District. The charges involve alleged acts with 15- and 17-year-old Troup students, and a 14-year-old student at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Ex-police officer gets 20 years for sexually assaulting (raping) 19-year-old woman A former Jackson police officer maintained during sentencing that he did not force a 19-year-old woman to have sex with him in his patrol car in 1999. Maceo Simmons was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors wanted the District Judge to send Simmons to prison for the rest of Simmons' life for violating the woman's civil rights. "The court feels 20 years for a man who is 48 is a sufficient sentence." A federal jury convicted Simmons in March, three years after a Hinds County jury acquitted him of sexually assaulting the woman. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girlfriend's 11-year-old Daughter A 47-year-old Brunswick man was arrested Wednesday morning, accused of sexual acts with his girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter. Gilbert Leon Maxwell Jr. was charged with one count of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation. Black Suspect Donta Pleads 'Not Guilty' to Murder of Asian Co-ed BALTIMORE -- A man charged with killing a Johns Hopkins University student pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, and prosecutors said they are seeking life in prison without possibility of parole for the crime. Donta M. Allen, 27, is accused of killing Linda Trinh, 21, in her apartment near the university's Homewood campus. Police said Trinh, a biomedical engineering major and her Alpha Phi sorority sisters knew the suspect. Police have said they have DNA evidence linking Allen to the crime. - (forum) |

Two men involved in an underground sexual bondage and drug culture have been linked to the killing of two gays Scott Schweickert is in jail on charges related to the deaths; Steven Lorenzo is in custody, too, charged with drugging and sexually assaulting seven men. Neither man has been charged with the slayings. They picked up Jason Galehouse at a Tampa gay bar. His body, which has not been found, was dismembered and placed in trash bins throughout the city. |
