Son of Oakland City Council President Ignacio De La Fuente sentenced for four rapes  OAKLAND -- The son of Oakland City Council President Ignacio De La Fuente was sentenced Friday to 14 years in state prison for sexually assaulting four women ranging in age from 15 to 24 in an 18-month period between October 2003 and April 2005. Ignacio Rafael De La Fuente Jr., 34, chose not to speak at Friday's hearing, which was packed with many of his family members, including his parents, two other Oakland City Council members, Pat Kernighan and Henry Chang, and a group called Bay Area Women Against Rape, which supports the victims in the case. None of the four victims spoke and Alameda County Superior Court Judge Allan Hymer refused to let the mother of the victim who was 15 when she was sexually assaulted speak. De La Fuente had faced multiple life sentences if he'd been convicted of all five counts against him, which were two counts of rape and one count each of assault with intent to commit rape, digital penetration by force and forced oral copulation. - (Newsroom) - (crime) - (Norcal) |
Jose Carmen Fuentes arrested for rape of 8-year-old girl A "Hispanic" man and a 13-year-old boy are in custody for allegedly sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl. According to court papers, the girl said the two suspects had inappropriately touched her. The adult suspect is 30-year-old Jose Carmen Fuentes. He's charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct. A physical examination showed that the child had been sexually penetrated. - (Newsroom) |

Fourth Negro Arrested In Connection With Gang Rape Case  Savannah Chatham Police have arrested a fourth man wanted for questioning in connection with the rape and kidnapping of a Savannah College of Art and Design student. Police arrested Naquon Mitchell on charges of contempt of court Sunday afternoon. They want to talk with him about what happened. Early Friday morning, two men forced the 21 year old victim at gunpoint into her car, robbed her and raped her. She later escaped. Early Saturday, police arrested William Mitchell for the attack. Jason Holmes and a 16-year-old were arrested on othercharges. - (Newsroom) |

Black arrested for duct-tape murder of White video game store manager   A man Marietta police said is behind a robbery that left a video game store manager dead, was expected to appear in front of a judge. The Game Stop on Cobb Parkway is still closed and flowers are gathering in front of the entrance in memory of store manager Matthew Cherry. Marietta police called Cherry's father with the news that they made an arrests, and police said his father broke down crying. Somali Poet Accused of Rape 10-year-old girl Fled to Africa MINNEAPOLIS -- Investigators in Minneapolis have accused Somali writer and wanted fugitive Mahamud Abdullahi Isse of fleeing to Africa to avoid prosecution on rape charges in Minnesota. A criminal complaint filed in federal court on Tuesday claims Isse, 72, has fled to the Republic of Djibouti where he "has been seen and interviewed by local reporters." Isse is charged with the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl in December 2006. Accroding to the criminal complaint, Isse crawled in bed with the girl and raped her while visiting her family. Somali national charged with raping three women NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Somali national charged with raping three women is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Monday. Metro sex abuse detectives are urging any other women who may have been victimized by Farhan Ibrahim Mahamed, 30, to come forward, according to a Metro police news release. Mahamed is accused of raping three women at Seven Oaks Park in South Nashville. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond. - (Newsroom) - (crime) - (Invasion!) |
Ref: Somali migrant accused of raping woman  ST. PAUL - A security video from an apartment hallway shows at least 10 witnesses ignored a woman’s cries for help for more than an hour as a man beat and sexually assaulted her, prosecutors said Thursday. Police said they responded to a call of drunken behavior, where they found Rage Ibrahim, 26, and a woman lying unconscious in the hallway early Tuesday. The woman’s clothing had been pulled up, she had fresh scratches on her face and blood on her thigh, according to the criminal complaint. Black Suspect rape-murder of White co-ed expected to take stand - his semen found   Orange Taylor III was expected to take the stand in his own defense when his trial resumes. Taylor, 21, is a former Eastern Michigan University student charged in the December 2006 slaying of EMU student Laura Dickinson in her Hill Hall dormitory room. His testimony will follow a nearly five-hour tape recorded interview with detectives played to the jury. During that Jan. 25 interview, Taylor admitted to being in Dickinson's room and taking a bag, but he denied ever touching or even seeing her. Taylor is charged with open murder, assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, home invasion and larceny in a building. The body of 22-year-old Dickinson was found in her dorm room Dec. 15, a little more than two days after she is believed to have died.
