This is an outrage! If robbery was the motive, surely four male teens against one woman could accomplish the theft without adding kidnapping and murder. Note: Nine-one-one operator never relayed call to officers. Human error will end up being the focus of this crime, you can bet. Not the fact that four teens, likely imbued with the sense that attacking (and killing)
whites is acceptable and, somehow, justified, plotted and carried out this horrific crime. Please don't let the death of this woman be swept under the carpet.

BALTIMORE, 8:08 a.m. EDT August 14, 2001 - First-degree murder charges have been placed against four suspects in the shooting death of an Anne Arundel County pharmacist.

The body of 26-year-old Yvette Beakes was discovered Sunday on the 300 block of Athol Avenue in west Baltimore. Police say four men who had staged a car accident in order to get her out of her vehicle killed Beakes.
The young pharmacist was reported missing Thursday when she failed to show up for work. Police say Beakes was last seen Wednesday night leaving Pickles Pub with a friend who walked her to her car.

Detectives believe there was a staged accident at some point while Beakes was driving home. They say the suspects rammed their van into her car, and when she got out, they assaulted her and then shot and killed her.

The suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Jamal Barnes, 16-year-old Larry Walker, 15-year-old Brian Wilson and 18-year-old Bryan McMillan. The suspects were arrested Sunday and charged late Sunday night.

Suspect In Brutal Culver City Murder Captured

Tip Leads Police To Their Man

Paul J. Young, Staff Writer
March 3, 2001, 2:57 a.m. PST

CULVER CITY, Calif. -- The man who Culver City police believe brutalized and murdered a 23-year-old Glendale woman after carjacking her last week has been arrested, more than 2,000 miles from the scene of the crime.

Authorities located Jason Thompson at an apartment in Saginaw, Michigan, Friday. He's the prime suspect in the kidnapping, rape and murder of Roberta Louise Happe, whose body was found late last week in a Culver City park.

The USC graduate apparently had been carjacked, then forced to drive her assailant to an ATM machine, from which she withdrew the maximum allowable amount of money.

Less than two hours later, she was found dead.

Detectives were immediately on the trail of Thompson, a reputed gang member, whose face matched that of the man photographed by the automatic teller.

Initially, investigators thought their man was still in the local area, but learned otherwise thanks to a tip early Friday afternoon.

"We received information this afternoon that he was in Saginaw, Michigan," Culver City Police Department spokesman Ed Henneberque told CBS 2 News Friday.

"After confirming that, we contacted the Saginaw Police Department. They went to the location, and after a brief struggle, took the suspect into custody."

Jason Thompson Word of the capture provided some consolation to the grieving parents of the dead young woman.

"Now, of course, we have the long haul here that we will be going through," Edie Happe, the victim's mother, told CBS 2 News. "But the good news is just fantastic."

Happe said that the pain of her family's loss is tempered somewhat by the realization that the person allegedly responsible is no longer on the street. But there's a long way to go before the healing can begin.

"It hasn't hit us yet," Happe told CBS 2 News. "My husband is very, very angry - and that's a good thing for him, because that's the way that we all feel. I'm angry also.

"But the way that I cope with a lot of things is that I always try to look at the positive side."

One way of doing that, she said, is refusing to lose faith.

"I'm being helped because I talk to her. I will always be in communication with my daughter."

Los Angeles County prosecutors are concentrating on having Thompson extradited back to California.

Edie Happe "He will have to go to court in Michigan for an extradition hearing," Henneberque told CBS 2 News.

Barring any unforeseen problems, the suspect should be turned over to Culver City police within days, according to Henneberque.

CBS 2 News reported that the district attorney's office may seek the death penalty in this case.

The purpose of this page to to dramatize the statistics in the "Color of Crime" report
available at the American Renaissance website. Although New Nation News supports
the right of Freedom of Speech and opposes 'hate speech crimes' - it really doesn't make
any difference whether you say the 'suspect' is a black rapist, an African-American rapist,
a negro rapist, a 'colored' rapist, a 'dark-skinned' rapist, or an 'n-word' rapist...
just as long as it might help the police and public 'profile' the potential threat....

In my opinion, the 'Color of Crime' report is an excellent study that supports the book
"The Bell Curve"
Intelligence and class Structure in American Life
by Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray
and 'The Bell Curve" brings up to date what was commonly accepted truth until recently:
that there are races of man and that they are different.
