Suspected illegal migrant Marco Antonio Lopez charged with raping a girl under the age of 16 |
Black African migrant from Sudan drives on sidewalk trying to kill while schoolchildren SALT LAKE CITY -- Prosecutors have filed charges against the man accused of driving down a sidewalk and hitting several students.
Prosecutors say this was not an accident and Luka Wall Kang intentionally targeted those students. Prosecutors charged Kang with 12 counts of aggravated assault; he faces up to five years in prison for each charge.
Kang was behind the wheel of a car that hit several students as they walked home from school. Charging documents say Kang made a sharp turn off the road onto the sidewalk, hitting a child and pushing another into a fence.
Prosecutors say he then continued south on the sidewalk. Some students had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
Charging documents say another child who was thrown onto the car's hood looked at Kang and started screaming.
It says Kang continued for 200 feet until it hit a retaining wall.
Assistant Salt Lake County District Attorney Alicia Cook said, "There was a certain level of awareness that he had of what the consequences were going to be of driving down the sidewalk with these children who were walking home."
Prosecutors did not file attempted murder charges because they say that charge requires a higher level of intent.
They say it would have been difficult to prove Kang's mindset and that he was out to kill people that day.

Annapolis police arrest black for 2000 rape DNA testing has led to an arrest in a nearly nine-year-old Annapolis rape case, the county State's Attorney's Office said yesterday. A positive hit in the DNA database prompted prosecutors to charge a 26-year-old Annapolis man in the cold case that occurred Aug. 26, 2000, in the Murray Hill area of the city. Michael Albert Brandford was arrested Thursday night. As officers staked out his workplace, ready to take him into custody, Brandford turned himself in at police headquarters. He is charged with rape, sex offense and assault - all in the first degree. Black Teen Who Raped 47-Year-Old Woman Sentenced SAN DIEGO -- A 17-year-old boy who raped a 47-year-old woman at knifepoint during a burglary in her College-area home was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison. Chadrick Robertson, who pleaded guilty Feb. 19 to felony rape, was a "career criminal" by the time he committed the sexual assault, with convictions for graffiti vandalism, theft and burglary, said Deputy District Attorney Patrick Espinoza. Five days before the rape, Robertson was released from Juvenile Hall and placed with his mother. DNA evidence found on a cigarette at the scene matched a sample taken from Robertson. Jury finds negro guilty in attempted rape of 95-year-old woman A jury of nine women and three men found Brian Anthony Reavis, a 42-year-old ex-convict, guilty on Friday of the attempted rape, robbing and beating of a 95-year-old woman in her historic district home last April. The attack left the woman permanently blind in her right eye, which was knocked out of her skull from the force of Reavis’ blows. Dallas negro executed for 1999 rape, slaying HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- A Texas man was executed Thursday for the rape and slaying of a woman abducted while she was trying to make a call at a pay phone 10 years ago. Derrick Lamone Johnson, 28, was the 14th Texas prisoner executed this year in the nation's most active death penalty state. He was pronounced dead at 6:23 p.m. His victim, LaTausha Curry, 25, of Dallas, was robbed of less than $10, driven away in her car, raped, beaten with a two-by-four and suffocated with her own blouse. Authorities determined the 1999 slaying was part of a two-week crime spree involving Johnson and a companion that left numerous women robbed or raped from Dallas to south of Waco, some 100 miles away. - (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) |
LAPD ties 72-year-old negro to two waves of serial killings of White senior women LOS ANGELES - The first wave of slayings haunted Los Angeles in the mid-1970s. The killer slipped mostly unseen through the night, preying on older women who lived alone. He raped them and squeezed their necks until they passed out or died. Seventeen women were killed, found with pillows or blankets over their faces. The second wave hit a decade later. There was another series of attacks on elderly women, including five rape-slayings in the nearby Los Angeles County town of Claremont. Again the victims' faces were covered. rapist gets life for acid attack of 'pure evil' A heavy steroid user who raped a television presenter and then arranged for acid to be thrown in her face in an act of "pure calculated and deliberate evil" was jailed for life today. Daniel Lynch's 25-year-old victim suffered horrific injuries. She is now partially blind in one eye, has to be fed through a tube in her stomach due to damage to her throat and has endured more than 30 operations. Lynch, 33, was sentenced to life in prison and must serve a minimum of 16 years before he is eligible for parole. Black pastor charged with rape Johnston County deputies have arrested Joseph Kennedy Ragland, the pastor at Church of God in Christ Jesus on Southcross Street in Angier. He's accused of raping a 16-year-old member of his church. According to warrants, the victim spent the night at Ragland’s house on April 11 after Ragland told her parents she needed some counseling. Investigators say Ragland gave the victim a cup of beer with a straw and told her to drink it. Ragland then told the victim he had something on his computer to show her, it was a video clip of people having sex. - (Newsroom) |
