'Spiritual Leader' Drugged and Raped Two Women in Brooklyn
- "pulled a 'Cosby"
A self-described "spiritual leader” allegedly drugged and raped two women, one during a “church ceremony” at a Brooklyn apartment the other during a “spiritual reading” at his home, prosecutors said.
Nigel Kennedy, 51, of East Flatbush, invited a 42-year-old woman to join him for a “church ceremony” at an apartment in East Flatbush in August 2016, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office said Wednesday. At some point during the ceremony, Kennedy started chanting and poured a clear liquid that tasted like alcohol into the woman’s mouth, the DA’s office said. The woman passed out and felt someone on top of her, but wasn’t able to move and passed out again, the DA’s office said. When she woke up again at 5 a.m. the next day, she was naked on a bed, and Kennedy told her he “didn’t know how she got naked,” according to the DA’s office. The woman left the apartment and was nauseated and dizzy the rest of the day.
This past year, on May 16, a 28-year-old woman went to Kennedy’s home for a “spiritual reading,” during which Kennedy blew smoke into her face and poured an alcohol-like liquid into her mouth, the DA’s office said. After the woman threw up and got dizzy, she passed out. When she woke up, she realized her pants were off and Kennedy was having sex with her, according to the DA’s office.
Kennedy was arrested last month after flying into JFK Airport from Trinidad and faces charges including first- and third-degree rape and first- and second-degree sexual abuse.

against gay black faggot
A Brooklyn man sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the brutal group bias attack on a gay black man has been cleared of all charges, after an appellate court Wednesday overruled the judge who found him guilty. Mayer Herskovic was found guilty at his non-jury trial in September 2016 of gang assault and other charges after victim Taj Patterson testified that he shoved a thumb in his eye, blinding him, during the vicious 2013 attack in Williamsburg.
Yet the Appellate Division, Second Department ruled that Patterson’s testimony was at times contradictory, and did not lead it to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that Herskovic was the one responsible.
Patterson testified that he was jumped by a gang of Hasidic neighborhood watch members, who brutally beat him after someone called to claim he’d been vandalizing cars. During the trial, prosecutors leaned heavily on testimony that Herskovic’s “touch-DNA” had been found on Patterson’s shoe.

man acquitted of killing white man after race dispute - NO
JUSTICE - NO PEACE
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – A black man has been acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of a white man outside a bar in a case his attorney said stemmed from "ugly racism."
Jurors deliberated for four hours Friday before acquitting Stephen Spencer of homicide, aggravated assault and terroristic threats. He was freed after 453 days in Luzerne County Correctional Center following the July 2017 shooting.
Spencer, 31, was accused of killing Christopher Williams, 32, in a confrontation outside the Pittston bar in July 2017 after another man refused to shake his hand because of Spencer's race following a dispute over a game of pool. Spencer had testified that he fired in self-defense as a group of would-be attackers came at him outside.
The handshake refusal "may and should offend some of you," prosecutor Brittany Quinn had told jurors during opening statements, but she told the mostly white panel that the killing had "nothing to do with" the earlier dispute.
Prosecutor Tom Hogans said during closing arguments that Spencer had the opportunity — and the duty — to retreat rather than pull his gun.
"Shooting an unarmed man on a street when you can retreat is not self-defense," Hogans said. "He intentionally shot him in a vital part of his body."
Defense attorney John Pike painted Spencer as a hard-working family man and homeowner who ran his own business, was licensed to carry the gun and had no criminal record.
"You don't go from that to homicide," Pike said.
Spencer said Friday, "I was fighting for my life for 15 months and I finally made it. Justice was served."
Pike said the case was "more than just someone shooting an unarmed person.
"And the jury saw it, they saw it for what it was," he said. "Ugly racism." - (Black-on-white)
