| Islamic Somali Ghouls desecrate colonial Italian cemetery Militias from the Islamic courts set up in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, are destroying a colonial Italian cemetery. They are digging up the graves and dumping human remains near the airport. The BBC's Mohammed Olad Hassan says he was horrified to see a large number of abandoned human skulls. Young boys were playing with one as a toy. Mogadishu was under Italian colonial control until 1950 and many of the graves belong to Italian soldiers and expatriates |

Popular white lawmaker persecuted in Zimbabwe prison  Jailers handcuffed opposition lawmaker Roy Bennett and forced him to kneel on the concrete floor during a visit by his lawyer. He was not allowed to wear a hat while working under the searing African sun which burned weals into his skin. Now supporters of the popular white lawmaker are fighting back. The "Free Bennett" campaign has generated a website, street graffiti and thousands of support letters - rallying opposition among both blacks and whites to President Robert Mugabe's increasingly autocratic rule. | Darkest South Africa: A 30-year-old man was beaten to death by residents for raping and killing an eight-year-old girl He allegedly took her to the bush, where he raped her before beating her to death with a stick. The neighbours discovered the girl's naked body on Thursday night. She had bloodstains on her private parts and a stick was found next to her body. The community launched a manhunt and found the suspect hiding in the bush. They beat him to death with sticks and other weapons. |

origin student arrested for murder of White college coed in South Africa  JOHANNESBURG:
An Indian origin student has been arrested in Johannesburg for allegedly kidnapping
and murdering the daughter of a White businessman.
Donovan Samuel Moodley was arrested and appeared in court in
connection with the kidnapping and murder of
Leigh Matthews. Both Moodley and Matthews were students at a private
University in the suburbs. Moodley has been charged with murder, kidnapping, robbery
and extortion. Moodley, who lives with his parents allegedly attempted to extort
more than R 300,000 from the Matthews family after holding their daughter to ransom.
Despite the father paying him about Rs 30,000, without the knowledge of the police,
Moodley allegedly went ahead and murdered the young girl. -

Africa: Namibian Attempted rape suspect saved by diplomatic immunity All charges have been dropped against a 20-year old man who allegedly tried to rape a Pretoria advocate in her townhouse in Arcadia. Zondi Ashipembe is the grandson of the third secretary at the Namibian High Commission, and therefore enjoys full diplomatic immunity. Africa: Nigerian Priest held for rape of 16 girls at mission A Nigerian priest was arrested after 16 girls alleged they were raped by him at his mission in Hlohlolwane, Clocolan, Free State police said on Thursday. In an incident in March 2004, a 14-year-old girl alleged she was raped by the priest in his bedroom after he showed her a pornographic video. In September this year a 13-year-old girl visited the mission to look for a friend. The priest allegedly asked her to go to his room. He ordered her to undress and raped her. - (forum) |

bill to regulate South Africa's 200,000 traditional healers has been adopted by
parliament. Some 70% of South Africans consult healers, known as sangomas. Human sacrifice. Some witchdoctors have been known to recommend the use of human body parts to make magic charms. And some are blamed for helping spread Aids by advising patients that it can be cured by having sex with a virgin. This has led to a spate of child-rapes some of babies just a few months old. |
