Obama’s last act is to force suburbs to be less white and less wealthy
Julian Castro Hillary’s rumored running mate, Housing Secretary Julian Castro, is cooking up a scheme to reallocate funding for Section 8 housing to punish suburbs for being too white and too wealthy. The scheme involves super-sizing vouchers to help urban poor afford higher rents in pricey areas, such as Westchester County, while assigning them government real-estate agents called “mobility counselors” to secure housing in the exurbs. Castro plans to launch the Section 8 reboot this fall, even though a similar program tested a few years ago in Dallas has been blamed for shifting violent crime to affluent neighborhoods. It’s all part of a grand scheme to forcibly desegregate inner cities and integrate the outer suburbs.

2 Investigators: (Black) Pageant Organizer Accused Of Pocketing (White) Charity Money
Derrick LeeSamantha TrianiContestants in a beauty pageant raised thousands of dollars for charity. They thought it was going to help sick kids. But, where the money ended up is a mystery and now the contestants are asking: Was the contest a con? Samantha Triani, and her mother Kim want a full investigation into Derrick Lee. He ran the Miss Illinois United States competition in 2015. “Most beauty pageants are about giving back,” Kim Triani says. The mother and daughter say they were Lee’s volunteers during this pageant and they question where charitable money went. “You can’t just tell people you are raising money for a cause and then put it in your own pocket,” Samantha Triani says. They say Lee sold hundreds of tickets to the event and used a well-known charitable entity — The Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago — to promote a special Miss Photogenic online competition. A related Facebook page uses the hospital’s logo, pictures of children and explains how proceeds will be donated. Kim Triani says she thinks this was a scam against the people in the competition. “And he also played on their emotions,” she says. According to the hospital, they never gave Lee approval to use their name to solicit money. A year later, no one knows how much money he collected. Just last week, the CBS 2 Investigators found Lee managing a pageant for kids and asked him about the money. He would not say what he did with the money. “I was a first year director,” Lee says. “I made some mistakes.” At the event, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office served him with a subpoena. He is being investigated by their consumer fraud unit. The Illinois Attorney General’s office also is investigating whether Lee misspent charitable money. “I think it’s disgusting,” Samantha Triani says. “I think a lot of children could have benefited from that. We have no way of knowing how that money could have helped them.” Months after the pageant and after Kim Triani blew the whistle, Lee gave $100 to the charity. He denies wrongdoing. Lee also has been accused of owing money to past contestants and $4,000 to a company that created a pageant video.

I have spoken to people as they have been packing up their offices," Chicago State President Thomas Calhoun Jr. said in an interview with the Tribune. But, he said, "It is not disheartening for the future of the university. The university has been here 150 years and will continue to be here." Calhoun said the cuts will touch every area of the university — from associate vice presidents to police officers, counselors and carpenters — and will reduce the number of noninstructional employees by nearly half. Faculty members were spared during this initial wave of cuts but are likely to be affected later.

The vehicle was also driving with no lights on, so they initiated a traffic stop,” explained Capt. Robert Wagner with the Hawaii Police Department. The driver of the vehicle was identified as John Ali Hoffman, 49, of Leilani Estates. According to Wagner, officers saw a handgun next to him and arrested him for a firearms offense. “While they were there, they noticed there was liquid coming out of the trunk of the vehicle, which appeared to be red in color, consistent with blood, so they conducted check of trunk area and upon opening the trunk area of the vehicle, they discovered the body of an adult female,” Wagner said. “At that point, they backtracked, checked the house (to) make everything was okay in that particular house, and at that point, they discovered the bodies of two juveniles within that home.” Police would not confirm whether the victims were Hoffman’s wife and their two young children, however “it does appear that he lived at the same house with the people that actually expired,” Wagner said.

Marvin Arrell StantonJesse James HamiltonA Texarkana, Ark., man who killed over a parking spot at a State Line Avenue convenience store last year was sentenced to life plus 15 years in an Arkansas prison by a Miller County jury Wednesday evening. Marvin Arrell Stanton, 49, received a life term for murder and an additional 15-year sentence for the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The sentences must by law run consecutively. Stanton pulled into the parking lot of the Raceway convenience store about 10 p.m. on a white motorcycle Sept. 25. Several of Stanton's friends pulled their bikes into slots at the front of the store, but Stanton pulled up next to a pickup which sat idling in an area where he and his fellow riders typically liked to park. Jesse James Hamilton, 22, was about to pull his truck out of the station when Stanton shouted, "Get out of my (expletive) parking space," repeatedly. Hamilton and his passengers, Lavon Strong and Sanmarcos Jacobs, got out of the pickup, and Hamilton faced Stanton. Stanton drew his gun and fired.     Guilty plea in fatal Port Chester home invasion - Cowardly worthless black stabbed White man in heart as he slept
Jahkim McGheeAnthony GuglielmoThe mystery of who killed Anthony Guglielmo in his Port Chester home nearly five years ago is officially over. Jahkim McGhee pleaded guilty Wednesday in Westchester County Court to one count of first-degree manslaughter for the fatal home invasion in 2011, the Westchester District Attorney's Office said. He had initially been charged with second-degree murder. Judge Barbara Zambelli agreed to sentence McGhee to a 20-year prison term on Sept. 6. Guglielmo was found stabbed to death in his home on Sept. 11, 2011. His then 14-year-old daughter, Nicole Guglielmo, made the 911 call. Investigators initially suspected the teenage girl before they turned their focus to McGhee, 21, who was arrested in October 2014. He admitted during his plea that he acted alone, officials said. "For over two years, Port Chester police and prosecutors relentlessly worked this case," Acting District Attorney James McCarty said in a statement. "While initial speculation focused on the victim's daughter, during the investigation, detectives developed information that (the) defendant was involved. Over the next two years, investigators interviewed and reinterviewed (the) defendant. Finally, (the) defendant admitted to climbing in the window of the victim's home and stabbing the victim as he was sleeping." Police responded to Guglielmo's home at 235 Mortimer St. after they were alerted to a stabbing and burglary in progress around 5:30 a.m. that Sunday. Nicole Guglielmo told officers that an intruder had stabbed her father, who was found lying in a pool of blood on the living room floor, officials said. A large butcher knife was next to Anthony Guglielmo, who had a stab wound to the chest. A fingerprint from a broken window at the home was eventually matched to McGhee, who had lived across the street from the Guglielmos in 2010 and early 2011, officials said. In July 2014 McGhee confessed to detectives while in prison on a grand larceny charge, according to court documents. He told them he had broken into the home to get money and grabbed a knife to protect himself before stabbing Guglielmo in the heart as the man slept, according to the records. - (Black-on-white)

Supreme Court rules Florida death penalty sentencing is unconstitutional because it "gives judges too much power" - Jan 12, 2016
Supreme Court In-justicesThe Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Florida's system for sentencing people to death is unconstitutional because it gives too much power to judges — and not enough to juries — to decide capital sentences. The 8-1 ruling said the state's sentencing procedure is flawed because juries play only an advisory role in recommending death while the judge can reach a different decision. The court sided with Timothy Lee Hurst, who was convicted of the 1998 murder of his manager at a Popeye's restaurant in Pensacola. A jury divided 7-5 in favor of death, but a judge imposed the sentence. - (Black-on-white)
