Prosecutors also revealed that they think Christian Glover was the gunman. I-Key Pinkins and Adrian Robinson pleaded guilty in exchange for prosecutors dropping the murder charge against them. They must testify at the trials of the remaining defendants for the deal to be completed. Pinkins and Robinson both pleaded guilty to criminal attempt to commit home invasion. Pinkins also pleaded guilty to a burglary that happened earlier in the day, but Robinson was not involved in that crime. Stoically and appearing anxious, Adrian Robinson entered a guilty plea in front of Judge Harry Altman for his involvement in the July 5th shooting of John Hester. Revealing new details, prosecutors say the group of 7 teenagers went to the home to rob David Hester but were confronted by Hester's father. Prosecutors say Hester fired at the group with a shotgun and Christian Glover fired back, fatally striking Hester in the leg. Chief Assistant District Attorney Brad Shealy says the crime spree started earlier that day. The group, with the exception of Robinson, broke into a home in Colquitt County and stole more than 20 guns. Prosecutors say Glover had one of those guns at the time of the robbery attempt in Norman Park. - (Black-on-white)

Black Teen killer sentenced to (only) 20 years in prison for brutal murder of mentally disabled White man
Isaiah D. StuartJulian ParrottSTAUNTON - On his 18th birthday, Isaiah D. Stuart was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison for the 2014 killing of Julian Parrott, a mentally disabled Staunton man found brutally knifed to death in Gypsy Hill Park. "I can't apologize enough," Stuart said moments before he was given 30 years in prison with 10 years suspended on a charge of second-degree murder. Staunton police arrested Stuart on May 8, 2014, the same day Parrott's body was discovered on the city's public golf course. Initially charged with premeditated first-degree murder, Circuit Judge Charles Ricketts III found Stuart guilty in September on a lesser charge of second-degree murder. Evidence showed that Parrott, 26, was stabbed and cut more than 30 times with a knife. Eight stab wounds were to the back of his neck, one of them fatal, an autopsy showed. Parrott's body was found near the 18th hole, where he met Stuart the night before. During Tuesday's sentencing hearing in Staunton Circuit Court, Mary Parrott, Julian's mother, said she misses her son and noted he suffered a "slow and brutal death" at the hands of Stuart. "The hurt is overwhelming and my heart is broken into a million pieces," she said. - (Black-on-white)

Christopher L. JacksonAngela CartwrightSURRY COUNTY, Va. – A man accused of hitting a young mother with his car and leaving her for dead has just been indicted by a Surry County Grand Jury. State Police say 47-year-old Christopher Jackson hit Angie Cartwright days before Christmas. “It’s very unexplainable,” said Cartwright’s brother Cregg Cartwright. “It’s very devastating.” For the Cartwight family, the devastation happened during a time meant for family. She was walking behind her boyfriend down narrow Burnt Mill Road when she was struck. “The biggest thing was breaking it to her three kids that they weren’t going to see their mom anymore,” said Cartright’s brother Cregg. “It wasn’t easy.” Cartwright died a short time later. State Police say the driver just kept going. A couple hours later they found his car tucked behind a mobile home about a mile away. black savageblack savageThomasOVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Chased through his home with a machete –an Overland Park man said his life flashed before his eyes as two armed men cornered him and demanded money. Police said the Tuesday afternoon home invasion on Merriam Drive was random and rare, as it occurred in the middle of the day, just feet from a busy highway. I thought, I was almost accepting it that it might happen, they`re going to kill me.” Coming face-to-face with a machete, Thomas feared for his life. He said two armed robbers came into his house and corned him in his bedroom, demanding money. “I grabbed one of my pillows to protect me from the knife,” he said, “because I have one way out of the room and it’s through the doors, through two guys, one of them toting a machete.” Thomas said he was worried he was going to get stabbed in the back, as he tried to force his way through the men. “I didn’t make it through the door,” he said. “The one guy bear-hugged me, and I’m screaming, ‘No! No!’ I was trapped.” Thomas said there was no way to escape, which made him feel, “Kind of like a cattle or animal. I thought I was going to get killed. Like I was nothing, my freedom, everything I believe in and feel in, it`s been stripped from me.” Terrified, Thomas handed them his wallet, and when the intruders walked back down the stairs, he made a run for it.Police describe the suspects as two black men in their 40's, driving an early 2000's gold Chevrolet four-door car.     Death after ‘extreme sexual behavior’ ruled homicide
Paul DawsonA 41-year-old New Jersey man’s death in an Upper West Side hotel back in June was originally blamed on drug-fueled sadomasochism gone wrong — but now it has been reclassified as a homicide. It was foul play, not sex play, with a pair of lovers who wrapped his head in plastic wrap that led to the death of Paul Dawson, of Asbury Park. “Two males who were with him wrapped him in plastic wrap during an S&M session,” one law enforcement source said of Dawson, who died at 9 a.m. June 9 in a room at the Comfort Inn at 31 W. 71st St. near Central Park, the sources said. But this was no blameless S&M party gone bad, sources revealed. One or both of Dawson’s two lovers — both of whom were known to him — may have given him the drugs in addition to recklessly, or intentionally, suffocating him. He was gay, and he was openly gay. He liked his alcohol and his cigars. But he was 100 percent against drugs.
