London: (less than worthless black) sentenced to life for 'senseless' murder of (White) Alan Cartwright
Joshua WilliamsAlan CartwrightA man has been sentenced to life for murdering a 15-year-old cyclist during an attempt to steal his bike. Joshua Williams, 18, was part of a group which attacked Alan Cartwright as he rode along Caledonian Road, Islington, in February. In sentencing at the Old Bailey, Judge Rebecca Poulet QC described the crime as "gratuitous and senseless" and "motivated by acquisitive greed". Williams was told he would serve a minimum of 21 years. He had denied murder, but was found to have lashed out at Alan, delivering a single stab wound. He had claimed to be at a youth club at the time of the attack, but jurors rejected his explanation. Judge Poulet said the killing "rightly horrified and dismayed the public" and acknowledged a statement from Alan's mother, Michelle Watson, in which she had laid bare the "heartbreak" felt by the whole family. Shaquille Roberts, 18, and a 16-year-old - who cannot be identified because of their age - have already pleaded guilty to the bicycle robbery but have yet to be sentenced. - (Black-on-white) - (UK)

Marshals nab 4th suspect in (White) Wilson grandmother's robbery, homicide
Quadir "Avon" TaylorCarrie Smith, 76Authorities have arrested the fourth person accused in a 2012 home-invasion robbery in Wilson Borough that led to the death of a 76-year-old woman. Quadir "Avon" Taylor, 28, (aka Quadir Shahidd Taylor) was picked up early Friday morning in Somerset County by U.S. marshals, Northampton County Assistant District Attorney Patricia Mulqueen said. Taylor is being held in county prison in New Jersey while he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania to face homicide, robbery and related charges in connection with the death of Carrie Smith. Taylor is a New Jersey native who frequented the Easton and Allentown areas, authorities previously said. Smith's granddaughter and two others have already been convicted in the case.

SueroDavid BechtoldAuthorities said Smith's granddaughter, Rebecca Johnson, plotted to steal $35,000 and jewelry from her grandmother, in order to finance a massive marijuana purchase in Colorado. Rogel "Roger" Suero, Johnson's then-boyfriend, and the previously unidentified accomplice used a key Johnson had stolen to enter the house, roused the sleeping Smith and forced her to open the safe, prosecutors said. They made off with money, jewelry and other valuables totaling more than $35,000. Smith, a great-grandmother, suffered a mild heart attack because of the robbery, authorities said. After her release from Easton Hospital, she was hospitalized twice more before dying March 16, 2012.

(Black) Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run (only sentenced to) Probation (for murdering a White man)
Mark FlemingRoy Yeck A man accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash has been sentenced to two years probation for misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide. Mark Fleming was sentenced after earlier No Contest. Police say he hit Roy Yeck last January 30th near North 30th Street and Newport Avenue, then left the scene and went directly to a body shop to look into fixing the damage to his vehicle. Yeck later died of his injuries. Fleming eventually turned himself in and later took a plea deal, reducing the charge to misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide, which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. The judge reviewed Mark Fleming's record and said Fleming has been convicted 14 times for driving under suspension. Judge Shelley Stratman said she thinks Fleming's remorse is sincere and ordered probation. He has been ordered not to drive until his driver's license is reinstated. In addition Fleming has also been sentenced to jail on the anniversary of Yeck's death, January 29th, for the next two years. Marsha Behr, the victim’s daughter, said, "The charge was lessened down to a misdemeanor. So he is not being charged with leaving the scene, driving with a suspended license, so it seems it is really being dumbed down from what actually happened." - (Black-on-white)

Sixteen years later, Britton, now 32, who has had nightmares about seeing his stepfather again, relived one of his worst fears as he walked past Lawrence on Friday. When Lawrence walked into the Cook County Circuit Court courtroom, he stared into the sparsely occupied gallery, where Collette's niece, Judy Beavis, was seated. (Native American) Inmate who raped Arizona prison teacher gets life in prison
Jacob HarveyFLORENCE - An Arizona inmate who pleaded guilty to raping a prison teacher apologized to the woman in court Monday before being sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars. Jacob Harvey's apology came after the teacher's attorney read a lengthy statement from her describing how the January 2014 rape had traumatized her and led to what she called "unwanted psychological reactions, unwanted memories and psychological distress." The 35-year-old woman sat with her parents in the courtroom while her attorney read her words. "At one point after the rape I wished inmate Harvey had just killed me because death seemed like a relief compared to the hell I was living," her statement said. "While I may have wanted to die shortly after the rape, I now have a greater purpose and will to live."     Police arrest black for committing 'pure torture' on one and may be linked to six 'missing or murdered' Ohio mothers
Ernest 'Dollar Bill' MooreFelony charges have been filed against a man accused of torturing a victim with silverware heated on a stove and other instruments. Police also claim that Ernest 'Dollar Bill' Moore, 39, may be able to shed some light on the murders and disappearance of six women in Ross County, Ohio. He turned himself in on Thursday night after the Missing Women's Task Force issued a warrant for his arrest nationwide. On Friday he was indicted on charges of felonious assault and kidnapping. Police Chief Keith Washburn called the kidnap incident 'pure torture', after the victim was 'punched, kicked, assaulted with a broom, possibly raped with the broom, and burned with lighter fluid, silverware heated from the stove and boiling hot water.' The male victim told police that he went to Moore's house to buy drugs and was immediately bound with Duct tape and placed inside a duffel bag to be transported to another house. Investigators also say they believe Moore could have information on the disappearances and deaths of six Ross County women in the last 16 months. Police believe that Moore knew all of the women - and that all six knew each other in some capacity.

Repeat rapist to be released because he’s not crazy enough
Jerome ArpsA repeat sex offender who is so dangerous that a state psychologist believes he will likely strike again is about to be set free over the objections of the judge in his case because of a little-noticed state high court ruling. Jerome Arps — who raped a woman on the steps of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 2006 — had been locked up under rules that allowed sex fiends to be jailed after their release date if they are a danger to the public. But a 2014 ruling by the state Court of Appeals has changed those rules. Now, pervs who serve their maximum jail time can be held only if they have a mental problem that is more serious than just a personality disorder. Arps, 58, doesn’t meet this standard — so he technically qualifies for release. Experts, however, fear that he’s still a danger to the public and that it will only be a matter of time before he rapes again if he is freed. Arps — whose offenses date back to when he helped gang-rape a 14-year-old when he was a minor — was still dangerous.
