Black Middle School Track Coach Charged with Rape A track coach at Sherwood Middle School has been arrested and charged with sex crimes involving a 13-year old student at the school. 27-year old Arlen Wilburn has been charged with 2 counts Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and one count Statutory Rape. The victim told investigators that Wilburn sent sexual images of himself. She said Wilburn also sent text messages to her that were sexual in nature, and that he sodomized her at the school. - (Black rapes) |
| Black Panther inmate inmate charged in 23-year-old Andover rape A California inmate currently serving two life sentences for murder was brought to Massachusetts and arraigned this morning in Salem Superior Court in a rape and kidnapping case that occurred on River Road in Andover exactly 23 years ago today. Valentine Underwood, 49, is a former Marine and is also affiliated with the Black Panthers and Black Prisoners Association in California. Underwood, who is 6-feet 9-inches tall, was escorted into the Salem courtroom by about a dozen guards all wearing bullet-proof vests. Judge Howard Whitehead ordered Underwood held without bail on aggravated rape and kidnapping charges. Police were able to tie Underwood to the crime 23 years later using his DNA. Underwood is serving two life sentences in California for the rape and murder of Mandi Scott, 15, and Rosalie Ortega, 20, in California in August 1991. |

| Black in court for assassination of White police officer Black formally charged in death of White Sandusky officer   The man suspected of killing a Sandusky officer has been formally charged with aggravated murder. Kevin Randleman, 50. Randleman is currently under guard. There will be no bond. Randleman is charged in the death of Officer Andrew Dunn, 30, who was shot and killed Saturday around 3 a.m. Randleman was riding a bicycle when he was stopped by Officer Dunn. Police say an exchange of gunfire then took place and Dunn received multiple gunshot wounds. Black doctor fled country after rape accusation Police have issued warrants for Darlington Hart, 43, of Rock Hill for charges of criminal sexual conduct. A 21-year-old Rock Hill woman accused Hart of assaulting her at the medical office. The woman said she was walking down the hall when her boss grabbed her arm, pulling her into his office, the report states. He turned the radio up, told her what he wanted to do and forced her into intercourse. Afterward, Hart told her not to tell anyone, the report states. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
Black admits strangulation and attemped rape  The housekeeping manager at the Essex House coldly admitted yesterday that he drunkenly strangled and tried to rape a resident of the luxury hotel and condo two years ago. Derrick Praileau, 31, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court to first-degree murder. He's to be sentenced June 17 to 23 years to life in prison. He told cops that he skulked around the building in September 2009 hunting for a victim. Black gets 32 years in kidnap, rape Tyrone Luster, 44, was sentenced to 32½ years to 70 years Monday on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, home invasion, carjacking and fleeing from police. He was charged with breaking into the home of a 31-year-old woman on Willard Street on July 2 and repeatedly raping her. Black gets life term in fatal stabbing of 92-year-old White woman  Gordon Franklin McMullen, who has spent much of his life behind bars, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for fatally stabbing a 92-year-old Charlotte woman as she returned home from church in April 2008. The crime against the Sunday School class treasurer who talked proudly of renewing her driver's license for five more years tore at her family, her church and the community. McMullen, 50, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, armed robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and breaking and entering in connection with Mildred Clontz's slaying. Sagging pants hamper black rape suspect fleeing Memphis police A 22-year-old man accused of rape had difficulty escaping from Memphis police because his pants kept falling down around his knees. Police arrested Richard D. Graham after a chase. Loud talking originally drew the officers' attention to three men, including Graham. When police discovered that Graham was wanted on a rape charge, he bolted but fell "multiple times while running due to his pants being around his knees." Police looking for black suspect in rape of 9-year-old girl  The Charlotte police is looking for a man charged with first-degree rape. Jujuan Miller, also known as Royal Scott, is wanted on charges of raping a 9-year-old girl. Investigators say he has been on the run for a probation violation for two years. Miller is believed to be in the Charlotte area. Miller is known to detail cars while working out of a van. He is 35-years-old, approximately 5-feet-9, 150 to 160 pounds. Black arrested for January sexual assault of elderly victim A DNA match has led to the arrest of a teenager for a January sexual attack in Fort Myers. Darnell Taylor, 17, was arrested without incident at his home on Saturday and charged with sexual battery and home invasion robbery for the January 7th attack. Black Sentenced To 92 Years rape of 92-year-old woman A Johnson County judge sentenced a 21-year-old man to more than 92 years in prison after he was convicted of raping a 92-year-old woman last year. Simon Angilda was convicted in January on 14 counts for breaking into the woman's Leawood home on June 29, 2010, and attacking her. Officers said they saw a sexual assault in progress.Officers forced their way into the home. One officer was attacked by Angilda.

Mannot Lusca was flown in from Atwater Federal Prison in California, where he was being held on a federal cocaine conviction. Lehtinen has been determined through DNA to be responsible for the strangulation death of Denise A. Comeau in 1992 and with raping two women in the 1990s, District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said yesterday. James Earl Johnson, who died in Alabama in 2008, was identified as the man responsible for the December 1992 murder of Ms. Comeau. The DNA also linked him to a rape in 1993 and another in 1995. The confirmations came Monday. Both rape victims have since died. Motion denied to suppress interview of black suspect in the murder of white Carol Marie Brown  There was no admission of guilt in a murder suspect's interview by Hagerstown police detectives last year, but the videotape of the exchange provided more details of the crime scene and events surrounding the murder of Carol Marie Brown three years ago. Darrol Sands, 43, who was indicted in the April 19, 2008, killing, was seeking to have the video suppressed at his May trial. Brown, 22, the mother of two, was found dead in a bathtub in her home, according to court records and the videotaped interview. Luis Zuniga was sentenced in state district court in Dallas under terms of a plea agreement and testifying against one of his co-defendants.Arturo Arevalo and Alfonso Zuniga have both received life sentences for their part in the assault. Three men accused of rape were charged in Thursday. 
Two men who picked a 15-year-old girl up from outside Manchester care home and raped her have been jailed. 
A Quincy man is being held without bail after being charged with raping a 5-year-old girl he drove to daycare and other offenses against three other children. Sergio Lara, 53, is also accused of sexually assaulting another girl and has been charged with other crimes involving two young boys. Lara drove the children to and from daycare. He owned a transportation company and drove a minivan on runs in East Boston, Revere and Chelsea. 
A 30-year-old man arrested in the kidnapping and brutal sexual assault of a 
City taxi officials peppered garages and depots across town with the sketch of a yellow-cab driver wanted for brutally raping a 26-year-old passenger at knifepoint. The hack -- believed to be in his early 40s and about 5-foot-8 -- tied up and raped a woman who hailed his cab in Williamsburg last Friday. Police say their suspect is Southwest Asian in appearance wearing what was described as a red and orange turban.
