Worth Rape Suspect Illegally In US Fla. -- A black youth charged with raping an 8-year-old girl and leaving her for dead in an old landfill slipped through the fingers of law enforcement earlier because of a loophole in U.S. immigration law. Milagro Cunningham, 17, of the Bahamas is charged as an adult. He escaped the notice of immigration authorities after previous arrests because he is a juvenile. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tracks the identities of everyone booked into the Palm Beach County jail to seek matches against a database of illegal immigrants. But the immigration check does not cover juvenile detention centers. |

Police Release Sketches In Attempted Abduction Two men who reportedly tried to abduct a 17-year-old girl Wednesday are still on the loose. Police are hoping sketches of the two suspects will lead to their capture. Miami-Dade County police said the teen was at a bus stop in front of 495 N.W. 165th St. when the men drove up in a green Dodge Caravan and tried to force her inside the vehicle. |

Recruiter In Gainesville Charged With Rape Fla. -- A U.S. Army recruiter accused of raping a woman who was interested in joining the military remained in the Alachua County Jail on $50,000 bond. The arrest of Staff Sgt. George O. Kirkman, 40, came a day before the Army suspended recruiting efforts after reported excesses by recruiters trying to sign up soldiers. According to Gainesville police the 20-year-old woman said she had gone to Kirkman's apartment to take a recruiting exam on a computer. The two were reviewing the woman's test scores and sitting on Kirkman's bed when he raped her, according to an arrest report. - (sw44m) |
Ford
quits Senate Pounded for months by ethics scandals, under federal indictment in a bribery sting and now, facing an almost certain impeachment, John Ford resigned yesterday from a state Senate seat he had held for three decades. Word of Ford's resignation on the legislature's last scheduled day in session sent shockwaves through an already punch-drunk General Assembly that has four of its members, including Ford, facing extortion, conspiracy and bribery charges. It also prompted Gov. Phil Bredesen to say he might call the legislature back to Nashville this year to tackle a political ethics overhaul. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |

Teen Accused Of Having Sex With Dog - Pet Owner Says She Caught
Boy Molesting Dog A South Carolina woman said she witnessed her neighbor doing the unthinkable. Cory Michael Williamson’s neighbor told sheriff's deputies that she saw the teen having sexual contact with her 6-month-old dog over the weekend. Williamson, 17, is now in the Spartanburg County Detention Center charged with buggery. Last year, Williamson was charged with criminal sexual conduct against a 4-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl. The solicitor's office said that it has petitioned a circuit judge to revoke bond for Williamson. - (The Bobster) Lev 20:15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. |
