School Officials Could Face Charges Along With Students In Alleged Sexual Assault Columbus, Ohio — The girl was led by the arm behind a stage curtain in the auditorium. There, witnesses said her lip was bloodied and she was sexually assaulted by a group of boys, an attack videotaped by one student and watched by more than a dozen others who came running as word spread. Within minutes, the developmentally disabled girl reported the alleged assault to a special education teacher, who said the girl “looked dazed and confused and was crying.” But principals didn't immediately notify police for fear of media attention, in violation of state law. Alleged Rape Victim Tells Her Story To Help Others - Grain Valley Woman Says She Was Carjacked, Raped   A woman who was kidnapped at knifepoint and sexually assaulted by a convicted rapist last summer spoke out Friday about her horrific experience. Trish Whitehead was heading to her car after work when a stranger
pulled up.
"I just smiled (at the stranger) and tried to get into my car, and before I knew it, he was shoving me into my car with a knife to my side."
."I tried to get him just to take my purse, just take my car, then I actually felt a knife in my ribcage," Whitehead said.
She was taken to three locations, where she said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and threatened.
"He told me over and over again while he had me that he could cut my throat, and repeatedly told me that he would kill me," Whitehead said.
After several hours, her attacker drove her to an ATM to withdraw money and then let her go. Jerry L. Banks was charged in the attack. His trial is scheduled to start in
September. |

Kidnapping and rape suspect has long record A two-day manhunt ended when police arrested a suspect and charged him with kidnapping, rape and auto theft.
The search for Loy Alexander Wright, 39, began when a man reported his 37-year-old sister missing. The man said his sister left a frantic call for help on his voice mail.
Authorities found the woman early the next morning. She told them that she had been kidnapped and that her attacker was still driving around her Dodge Caravan. Wright, who was charged following his arrest, has an extensive criminal history. Past charges include breaking and entering, assault, drug possession and statutory rape. Wright is also a registered sex offender. |
Man Sought In Rape Of 14-Year-Old New Orleans Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for a 34-year-old accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Ronald Ferrand, of 7425 Pitt St., faces forcible rape in the March 29 attack. Crimestoppers, at (504) 822-1111, is offering up to $2,500 in cash for tips leading to Ferrand's arrest and indictment. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court. |

Five Africans, One Spanic Arrested, Two More Blacks Sought In Gang Rape Of 14-year-old Girl Over Two Day Ordeal        ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Five adults and a teenage boy are under arrest and warrants are out for two more men on what police described as a shocking crime: the rape of a 14-year-old girl several times over a two-day period. On March 29, police were called to the Flagler Hospital emergency
room to investigate a sexual battery. The victim said she was assaulted multiple
times by eight attackers in a room at La Quinta Inn. Those arrested are: Marcus Leo Anderson, 21; George Anthony Edwards, 52;
Cleveland Powell III, 19; Hector Luis Ramos, 33; James Arnett Williams Jr., 19;
and a 16-year-old "boy" not named due to his age.
Police have warrants for the arrest of Jose Manuel DeJesus, 24, and Tray Delron Lyons, 18, both of St. Augustine. Investigators believe the two are hiding from police. - (Brewski) |
Black garbage collector arrested in 2002 Cape Cod RAPE-murder of White woman   (CNN) -- A 33-year-old garbage collector has been arrested in the stabbing death of a single mother three years ago on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, authorities said Friday. The Barnstable County district attorney's office confirmed the arrest of
Christopher McCowen in connection with the death of Christa Worthington but gave
no details about pending charges. Worthington, 46, a former fashion writer for publications such as Women's Wear Daily and Elle magazine, was found stabbed to death in January 2002 in her Truro, Massachusetts, home, with her 2-year-old daughter clinging to her body.
