 A man who was once named Big Brother of the Year in Medina County now faces a 20-count indictment that includes rape and child porn charges. Richard Mansfield, 60, faces two counts of rape for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old boy he was supposed to be helping. Mansfield has also been indicted on 18 other counts pertaining to child
pornography police said they found on his home computer.

A convicted rapist who slipped away from officers in November after allegedly confessing to molesting a boy has been captured in western Colorado and charged with attacking a woman in Denver and stealing her car. Brent J. Brents was taken into custody. "He is a repeat sex offender and pedophile who doesn't differentiate between men and women, boys and girls." "He's a career criminal, he's a pedophile, he's about as evil a person I've come across." Brents was released from prison last July after being sent to the state hospital
for about three years and then to prison for 14 years for raping a young boy and
a girl.

- Homeless Brian McCutchen sentenced to 35-70 years for trying to rape 8-year-old girl in public library
The 8-year-old girl was found unconscious and partially undressed, wedged between a toilet and a wall. McCutchen had served only six months for an attack on a 9-year-old girl in a public restroom, and he had been repeatedly kicked out of libraries for viewing pornography on the Internet and exposing himself.

A man accused of fondling a 15-year-old girl at a school where he was substitute-teaching pleaded guilty Friday to sexual contact with a minor. Authorities said Isaac Grayson, 23, was found with the girl in an otherwise
unoccupied classroom of Arsenal Technical High School in March. He was arrested
and fired shortly afterward.
Prosecutors Say Man Took Teen To Motel During School Hours A former Southgate high school teacher was sentenced Friday for having sex with a student. Joseph Lee Brickey (pictured, left), the first sergeant of the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps at Anderson High School, was sentenced to up to 40 years in prison.
He was convicted last month of having five sexual encounters with a 15-year-old student in 2003.
Police nabbed a man Thursday they believe to be the talkative, Bible-wielding "preacher" who often tells the story of his broken-down church van before asking people for $40 for a belt to fix it. A Thursday story in the Post about the phony preacher apparently led to the apprehension of James Bernard Brown, 48, of East Spencer. He was carrying a Bible in his back pocket and said he was affiliated with a church in Kannapolis. - (Tyrone N. Butts) 
Former University of Tennessee footballer Mondre Dickerson has been indicted on a rape charge. Dickerson was kicked off the Vols football team in 2003 after a rape allegation was made. It was later dropped. The indictment returned concerns another case and alleges the 22-year-old, 290-pound athlete attacked a woman in her apartment on June 19th. A warrant wasn't issued until November 18th. Dickerson was arrested 10 days later. He was freed the next day on a $25,000 bond and ordered to stay away from the 30-year-old woman.

Police need your help finding a suspect they say beat up and raped a woman while robbing a Middletown bar. An arrest warrant has been issued for Antwan Hall for the January robbery and assault at Tina's Bar and Bistro. Hall is believed to be from Dayton. Fla. A medical examiner says a former Escambia County, Florida, commissioner who was looking at a possible prison term on corruption charges killed himself by drinking antifreeze. Willie Junior's decomposed body was found a little over two months ago. He had vanished the day before he was supposed to be sentenced on 11 criminal charges. Some of those charges were linked to a bribery scandal involving the county's purchase of a former soccer complex.
Kyle Parker-Hall, one of four men convicted in a New Brunswick home invasion that resulted in the rape of three Rutgers University students, was sentenced to 14 years in prison yesterday for raping a 23-year-old woman. Parker-Hall's very brief apology of "I am sorry" did not impress the judge or the mothers of two of the victims who spoke at the sentencing, encouraging the judge to impose a long prison sentence. The woman who was raped by Parker-Hall described how he forced her to perform
oral sex on him in front of six of her friends in the living room of the
apartment which is near the Rutgers College Avenue campus.
