• Radio Host Calls Rice 'Aunt Jemima'
  A radio talk show host drew criticism after calling Condoleezza Rice an "Aunt Jemima" and saying she isn't competent to be secretary of state. John Sylvester, the program director and morning personality on WTDY-AM in Madison, said in a phone interview that he used the term to describe Rice and other blacks as having only a subservient role in the Bush administration. Rice has served as President Bush's national security adviser and was named this week to replace the departing Colin Powell as secretary of state. Sylvester, who is white, also referred to Powell as an "Uncle Tom" a contemptuous term for a black whose behavior toward whites is regarded as fawning or servile.

• 10 Accused in Seattle Immigration Plot
  Terrorism task force agents arrested five Seattle-area residents on immigration fraud charges in connection with fake documents that allegedly helped people from the West African nation of Gambia enter the country illegally. Three other men were charged with defrauding banks of thousands of dollars, and five were accused of weapons offenses. The task force also seized computers, religious pamphlets and "Islamic training documents" from a south Seattle barbershop
  
• Two Charged in Rapper E-Money Bags Slaying
  Federal prosecutors probing ties between the worlds of drug dealing and rap music filed murder charges in the slaying of a rapper known as E-Money Bags. An assistant U.S. Attorney said Dennis "Divine" Crosby and Nicole Brown could face the death penalty if convicted of the 2001 shooting. Investigators believe the crime was a revenge slaying ordered by Queens drug kingpin Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff. Prosecutors believe McGriff laundered hundreds of thousands of dollars in drug money through the rap label Murder Inc.
• Ja Rule Manager Arrested On Money Laundering Charges
  Ja Rule’s manager Ron “Gutta” Robinson, 29, was arrested as part of an investigation into the music label Murder Inc. He was arraigned on money laundering charges in federal court and released on $500,000 bond.
