Ohio Jury Convicts Negro of Kidnapping 5-year-old White Girl - Sentenced to only 10 years for kidnap - victim still missing   COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jurors convicted a man Friday of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl, but acquitted him of a rape charge that could have brought a mandatory life sentence. The girl is presumed dead, but Bruce was not charged with murder. Lindsey Bruce was charged with kidnapping and raping Emily Rimel, who has been missing since December. She was last seen in her Madison Township home on the night when Bruce was visiting. Rimel's body has not been found and Bruce was not charged with murder. DNA Helps Convict Manhattan Man Of 1973 Rape  A Manhattan rape victim received justice 32-years after the fact when her attacker was found guilty Wednesday thanks in part to new DNA technology. It took a jury less than two hours to convict Clarence Williams, also known as Fletcher Anderson Worrell, in connection with a 1973 rape. Kathleen Hamm testified last week that Williams raped her at knife point in her Manhattan apartment. Runaway raped, held as sex slave by black pimp and his white whore  Since September, the 15-year-old girl had been raped repeatedly, threatened with death and sold for sex over the Internet, police said. Her captors hid the runaway in a hollowed-out box spring covered with a piece of wood and tucked underneath a bed in a small apartment complex adjacent to Interstate 17 in west Phoenix. Then, in a brief moment Monday afternoon, while they were sleeping, the girl managed to sneak a phone call to her mother. She needed help, she said. She knew the general area where she was but couldn't give an address. Since September, the 15-year-old girl had been raped repeatedly, threatened with death and sold for sex over the Internet, police said. Just after midnight Monday, Phoenix police, who had been looking for a runaway in the same area, rescued the sobbing girl. Black Man pleads guilty to murdering three White co-workers and one pre-born baby at integrated Outback restaurant   The second of two men accused of murdering three employees at the Outback Steakhouse in Texarkana two years ago pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Richard Markeil Henson admitted killing Rebecca Shifflet, Crystal Willis and Matthew Hines during a robbery at the restaurant in September 2003. Henson's co-defendant, Stephon Lavell Walter, was convicted last year and sentenced to life in prison. Both Henson and Walter used to work at the restaurant. Black Man Pleads Guilty To Rape and Murder of White St. Marys Teen In 2000  Ga. -- Just before opening statements were to begin in the trial for the murder of a St. Marys middle-school student in May 2000, James Miley pleaded guilty to all charges. James Miley was accused of killing Ashley Nichole Neeves five years ago. The 14-year-old girl's body was found near the St. Marys waterfront. Investigators said her throat had been slit and her face mutilated. Miley was charged with murder, rape, aggravated battery, and kidnapping with bodily injury. After the plea Monday morning, Miley was sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus 20 years. Prosecutor George Turner said he had a strong death penalty case, but said accepting the plea was in the best interest of all parties. "It's been a horrible five years," said the victim's father, Pete Parrish. "We were hoping that his conscious would finally come clean, and it dead. And with the support of my family and the evidence that the state had, we knew that he would get what he deserved." Miley, who was 18 and an 11th-grader at Camden High School at the time of the slaying, knew Neeves. Stabbing Suspect Appears In Court * Slaying victim had misgivings about move to Boston  BOSTON -- The man charged with stabbing a 65-year-old Boston woman to death inside her senior citizen complex appeared in court. Stevie Walker, a part-time hairdresser, stood in court with his back to the camera sporting dreadlocks. Police said he was braiding a woman's hair inside an apartment complex for senior citizens when he took a walk, looking for an easy robbery. "He somehow obtained entry to the apartment and the evidence is overwhelming that a violent struggle ensued in the apartment. There was a piece of a dreadlock that was on the floor in the apartment. " Galina Kotik was stabbed more than 10 times. "There was change strewn about and there was blood on the floor," Bradl said. Kotik emigrated to the United States years ago. Son of ex-East Cleveland Nigerian mayor charged with murder  The son of former East Cleveland Mayor Emmanuel Onunwor was charged Monday with aggravated murder Cleveland police said Clifton Onunwor, 19, was arrested n connection with the shooting of Armond R. Wright, 20, during a holdup. Onunwor and an accomplice are accused of robbing Wright and the victim's brother. His father is currently serving nine years in prison on federal bribery charges. Sports: Basketball Coach Charged With Sexually Abusing 14-year-old Baby Sitter NEWARK, Ohio -- Police have charged a basketball coach with the alleged sexual abuse of his teenage baby sitter. Dexter Harris runs a well-known summer basketball camp in Newark. Now he faces two counts of sexual battery. On Oct. 23, Harris, 36, called a 14-year-old girl to his home to baby-sit. Once the girl -- who is enrolled in Harris' basketball boot camp -- arrived, investigators said the two engaged in sexual activity. Sex Offender Landlord Accused Of Another Assault on One of his Female Tenants  COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Michael Davis, a registered sex offender and landlord is behind bars accused of raping a tenant in his building. As county officials were working to evict a man from his home near a school, he allegedly held a woman at knifepoint and committed another sexual assault. Davis, 39, was living in his home on the city's east side when he was arrested and charged with rape, kidnapping and felonious assault. Mental patient accused of killing wife in Neeses A recently released mental patient has been accused of stabbing his wife to death at their home. Police still don’t know what ignited the incident that resulted in the death of the woman. “Upon officers’ arrival, they found the victim, Glenda Brooks, 53 years old, with what appeared to be a stab wound to the lower abdomen,” Williams said. “The subject, upon the officers’ entering the home, indicated that he had stabbed his wife for reasons unknown.” The victim’s husband, Lee B. Heriberto Torres Arrested For Slashing Throat Of Pregnant, Ex-Girlfriend - "nearly decapitated"   ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 33-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder Saturday after his former girlfriend was found with her throat slashed. Police said Michelle Knarr, 22, who was several weeks pregnant, was found by her current boyfriend Friday night in their apartment. Knarr's throat had been slashed and she was nearly decapitated. After an investigation, Knarr's former boyfriend, Heriberto Torres, was taken into custody and charged with her death. | Parole is granted to black killer of soldier Before dying, Arkansas National Guard Lt. Col. Barney Smith told his mother that he had been shot and robbed by a black man he didn’t know. Arkansas State Police arrested Kirk Otis, then 14, days later after they learned that he had been talking about the crime. After his arrest, Otis confessed to the shooting. News that the Board of Parole had voted 4-2 in favor of parole for Kirk Otis left Smith’s children in “complete and total shock,” said Smith’s 25-yearold son, Sam Smith. “My whole family is pretty down about it.
