Mississippi: Plant fires 150, illegal worker questions raised - (Rick Dean) - (Invasion)

  • Increasing export of white-collar jobs is cause for concern
White-collar employees have long believed their jobs were safe from the economic forces that have shifted millions of factory jobs to foreign countries in the past 30 years. Not anymore.
It's not just clothing and electronics being made by workers in India and China and similar places. Now, it's office and professional jobs that are being shipped out -- raising the specter that skilled white-collar workers could face the same devastating job losses that decimated the manufacturing industry. - (KPS Reports)

The Dr. Mabuse of Illinois by Paul Sand
Richard Durbin"...Mr. Richard Durbin, currently a Democratic Senator in the U.S. Senate. He, along with several other Senators in their madly-led terror apparatus are waging a brutal and merciless war against the American working people. His Paradise for the American working people takes the shape of a desert of starving and hungering unemployed..."

Ref: Who the Hell is "Dr. Mabuse"? - matter of fact, who the hell is Richard Durbin?

In 1996 Mr. Durbin, still in the House of Representatives, voted in favor for "chain migration" with the Chrysler-Berman Amendment to H.R.2202. "Chain migration" is where the immigrants can send for their adult relatives, and then these adult relatives send for theirs and -- so -- on. This results in job shortages, lower wages for lower-paid Americans like after school help, summer help, part time soccer mothers, et cetera...
Once in the Senate Durbin wasted no time in administering his deadly poison. He voted in 1997, again in 1998 and again in 2000 to give "illegal" aliens amnesty "without debate" in the Senate. - (Invasion)

Most of those bills which gave some meager protection for the American workers failed, viz, were voted down.
Ref: 6 entries found for viz. That is; namely. Used to introduce examples, lists, or items.

Even now with twelve million unemployed Americans Senator Durbin is not finished with his treacherous plans. All of those foreign workers allowed into the country because of him and his underworld gangsters still reside in the U.S.! He stubbornly refuses to propose any bill or amendment to deport them back to their own country so as to reduce America's crippling unemployment crises.

Jobless in the USA - By Paul Craig Roberts - (KPS reports)
By locating in China, the firm substitutes a work force that is paid less than a dollar an hour for U.S. labor that costs $26 an hour. By locating in China, the firm also avoids expensive regulations, torts, employment taxes, and discrimination lawsuits.

Mexican Migrant Pipeline: Stealing American's Jobs
Five workers who came from the Rio Grande Valley to the meatpacking plant here were treated like tourists. They rode in an air-conditioned bus, watching movies, eating chips and drinking Cokes. They stayed for free at a local motel until they found housing. And they bought food at the plant cafeteria with cash cards. All of this was supplied by their new employer, Tyson Fresh Meats. - (Rick Dean) - (Invasion)

"Interesting how the H1-B and L1 visa issue seems to get more press coverage in India than in the United States..."

  • Job cut announcements up 43%
Report: Planned reductions jump to highest level since April, as jobless 'recovery' continues.

U.S. job-cut announcements jumped in July to their highest level in three months, an outplacement firm said Tuesday, another sign that the longest job-market slump since World War II continues. - (reader link)

Trading Seabiscuit for a rabbit - by Patrick J. Buchanan - © 2003 Creators Syndicate, Inc.
Patrick J. Buchanan"Democrats have lately begun to notice that under President Bush, one in every seven U.S. manufacturing jobs has vanished. U.S. manufacturing jobs have been disappearing at the rate of 75,000 a month for 34 months. U.S. workers in manufacturing are now fewer in number than in the 1950s and the smallest share of the labor force since the early 1800s. Why? Simple. As we import the products of foreign factories in record volume, we close our own factories and ship our jobs, our technology and our future abroad. In May, the U.S. trade deficit in goods was running at the astronomical rate of $562 billion a year. Because of that deficit, since Bush took office, the dollar has lost one-fourth of its value against the euro." - (link from RR)

The move will affect about nine assembly jobs. An article on June 4, 2003 reported that CROUSE-HINDS is cutting 10 jobs in Syracuse (Onondaga County) due to low orders. However, five of those scheduled to be laid off will be reassigned to other departments that have more work.

It's just getting worse everyday...Strange thing..Carrier Corp (aka UTC)is thinking of laying off a ton of people in Syracuse area....Their main building is right next door to Verizon...The god damned CARRIER Dome is named for that company...Syracuse Orangemen may have to come up with a new sponsor/name for the stadium...Nothing but layoffs here every week...Nestle Corp, Marsellus Casket, Verizon, Agway, Telergy(remember them?), MONY, Philips Broadband, Crouse-Hinds, and schools/government...I'm sure I missed quite a few...

Houston, TX - Syracuse, NY - Crouse-Hinds, a division of Cooper Industries Inc., Thursday told the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2084 that it will cut 21 jobs from its Syracuse plant. The company, employing 777, told the union job cuts are necessary because orders for its electrical products used in hazardous environments remain slow. One worker will retire from the company, while the remaining 20 will be laid off.

    Employment Picture Still Gloomy

Abracadabra - "WHEN I WAS BORN, AMERICA WAS THE STRONGEST nation on earth. Americans were proud of who they were, at times even arrogant about it. Well, nobody's perfect. America's schools were as good or better than schools anywhere on earth. Our productivity was the highest, and the term Yankee Ingenuity was used in all seriousness. We were creative, and had the inventions to prove it. We built cars, hi-fi's, televisions, radios, motorcycles, and just about anything else you could think of, and we built them all with quality..." - (KPS reports) - (American Worker)

Seattle: Boeing to Cut 4,000-5,000 More Workers

Help kill open-border trade bills on floor
The immigration provisions of the Chile and Singapore free trade agreements provide for unlimited tech and professional work visas, indefinite extensions and absolutely zero protections to give American workers first crack at the jobs. The House and Senate are expected to vote on the trade agreements before the end of July.

When an issue gets really personal, such as having your son or daughter go fight the war in Iraq, you get involved. You pay attention. You care. Why aren't we paying attention to another invasion? This time an invasion of our own country. Let me explain.
My sons, now both over 40, have been lucky about avoiding hot wars, too young for Vietnam, too old for the all-volunteer service.

However, the current raging immigrant invasion of the United States has become for me very personal. One of my sons, an electrical engineering grad with 23 years of service to the same company and more than 30 patents to his credit, just sent me a letter in which he says:

"My company is replacing 40 percent of our engineers with offshore people now at a 25 percent savings overall. Simultaneously, we are asked to work 50 to 100 percent faster. There will be burnout. These American engineers, who are advised they are to be let go shortly, have been instructed to train their offshore replacements. I guess there won't be as many affluent Americans to buy our products in the future."

    OFF TO INDIA

A lot of this outsourcing goes to India. A June 18 Christian Science Monitor article reported "India Winning Higher Status Jobs From U.S." U.S. companies used to send mundane data-processing jobs there, but now more and more "U.S. firms are farming out much more sophisticated work ... taking advantage of skilled accountants, market researchers, and medical technicians ... who work for nickels on the dollar." - (Rick Dean)

Hiring Survey Reveals Job Market Worst Since Early 1990s
Three out of four employers expect to cut jobs or hold off on hiring this summer, contributing to the worst employment market since the early 1990s, a new survey said Tuesday. About two-thirds of employers said they don't expect to hire any additional workers and 9 percent plan to eliminate jobs during the July-to-September quarter, according to the survey by Manpower Inc.

  • Pay, not ethnicity, issue
We constantly hear that "undocumented workers do the work Americans won't do."
This statement is dead wrong. It displays economic illiteracy. There are jobs that undocumented workers will do for $7 or $8 an hour. Americans won't sign up for these jobs at that level of pay.

Happy worker
